Teacher Gifts. Martha Style.

It’s the end of the school year here and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved my kids teachers this year.

Which brings me to the end of the year teachers gifts.

I usually do gift cards but this year wanted to make them special some how.

After finding this youtube video,  I modified it to fit into my idea.

(Note: I don’t have any of those fancy folding tools.  I used my hands and the back of a pen cap)

Box

Box saying

The box opens into four “flaps.”

Box open

Each flap is a gift card holder.

The “Eat” one is for Panera Bread.

The “Drink” one is for Starbucks.

The “Read” one is for Barnes and Nobel

So what do you think?  I love them and really this sort of gift card box can be used for any occasion.  Costs just a few pieces of paper too.

Reasonable and cute.

Voila.

Now pass me the wine.  I’ve got 4 more to do.

(Though I did not come up with the box idea, the concept of  Eat, Drink, Read is all my own.)

  1. I have never, in my over 10 years of teaching, gotten an end of the year gift or teacher appreciation gift that wasn't donuts or bagels from administration. I have gotten a few random baby gifts (so sweet) and random jars of homemade salsa.

I want to teach your children. Just for the gifts.

    I'm nothing if not honest.
My recent post my michigan adventure

  2. LOve this idea. Of course, it makes my thank you card and gift card seem like SHIt now:) lol Hopefully, my kids teachers don't read your blog or my ass fell short of the high standard you set> go you! you rock!

    • The you tube video shows how. I did modify it though because I wanted a ribbon handle so my kids could carry them to school. I used double sided scrapbook paper which was $1.20 a sheet. Each box cost less than $3.

    • Agreed. You could do $5 on each card. Or you could put a little message on 3 of the flaps and give one card.
